Built as a single, collector-grade example, the project celebrates BMW’s enduring connection with the legendary mountain circuit that hosts the Bathurst 1000 at the iconic Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales.

A Modern Tribute to BMW Motorsport Heritage

At the heart of the build is the latest generation BMW M2 (G87), powered by the formidable S58 twin-turbo inline-six engine — the same engine family found in the current generation BMW M3 (G80) and BMW M4 (G82).

The compact M2 platform provides the perfect foundation for a commemorative performance car — compact, aggressive, and deeply rooted in the motorsport DNA of BMW.

For the Bathurst Edition project, MODE DESIGN™ has curated a carefully selected suite of performance, aesthetic, and chassis enhancements designed to elevate the driving experience while remaining faithful to the engineering integrity of the M platform.
